5 must-visit Christmas markets in Dubai

Sparkling electric lights, beautiful Christmas trees, legendary Santa Claus, and delectable food are part of the celebration. Above all these, the Christmas market stands out. Dubai is renowned for amazing Christmas markets, which you can never ignore. Here are the five must-visit ones:

1.The Ripe Market

The Ripe Market at the Academy Park in Dubai is offering distinctive Christmas activities, treats and food until December 26, 2021. You can have exciting time with your family enjoying activities with Santa Clause at the grotto, taking photos with Father Christmas, decorating Gingerbread, buying original Christmas trees, etc.


Children can have great fun enjoying every moment at Christmas workshops here, while parents, relatives and friends can take part in shopping, having food and listening to live festive music.

2.Souk Madinat Jumeirah

Madinat Jumeirah’s Festive Market is back from Thursday December 16 to Thursday December 30. There will be plenty of festive food and drinks to munch on. From a snow fight zone to remind you of home to bungee jumping, because why not, there’s something for everyone.

3.Ski Dubai

For AED125, meet Santa, get goodies, indulge in hot chocolate, and more. There are festive food stalls, snowman building activities and even a snow cinema (from Dhs200) where you can get cosy with your nearest and dearest under blankets.

4.Desert Winter Wonderland

If you are looking for a unique experience this Christmas, then be at the Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, which is converted into a desert-themed Christmas wonderland. You can see a beautifully decorated 40-foot Christmas tree and listen to the Christmas choir. There are over 50 Christmas stalls that sell gifts, food and beverages, which include minced pies, hot chocolate and mulled wine.

At the Al Forsan Restaurant, you can enjoy daily Christmas-themed buffet dinner at AED 285 per person from 7 pm to 11.30 pm. You can be at the Bab Al Shams Desert Resort from the 10th of December to 21st of December at 6 pm until 10 pm. 

5.Habtoor Palace Dubai

The Winter Garden is a part of Al Habtoor City’s festive season activities, which is a multi-month-long celebration. You can visit the pop-up stalls to enjoy the fun rides, artisans’ products, and local favorites and international street food specialties. Kids can be with the four-legged friends here. During this time, the Winter Garden is decorated to look like a winter wonderland. There are also activities performed by acrobats and street artists continuously with holiday carols.

Kids can have a great time meeting Santa and enjoying train rides, bouncy slides, carnival games and cheer caroling. The entry to the Winter Garden is free.
