The month of Ramadan is ideal for unwinding with friends and family over iftar. A traditional extravagant feast that begins at sunset to break the fasting day. We’ve picked up some of the top iftars not to be missed in Downtown Dubai and Business Bay for anyone searching for an unforgettable Ramadan experience this year.

Iftar at Bayside

Bayside provides a value-packed Middle Eastern buffet that begins after the Maghrib prayer and is accompanied by a traditional oud musician. Authentic delicacies like lamb ouzi, mixed grills, mezze, fresh juices, and more can be found on the menu.


Price: Dhs 195 for adults, half price for kids aged 6 to 12, and free for kids under 6. Shisha is offered at Bayside Terrace at Dhs 60 daily from 7 pm.

Iftar at Cleo:

At Cleo’s, you’ll be transported to a world of superb Eastern Mediterranean food with a contemporary touch. Two iftar set meals are available at this Levantine restaurant in Business Bay. Choose between the standard and premium menus to find items to suit your tastes before being served hot delicacies such as eggs cooked in a delicious spicy tomato and vegetable sauce, sample a variety of creamy dips, crisp salads, and daily soups.


The premium menu starts with a complete Arabic mezzeh, including tantalizing main meals like a generous Arabic Mixed Grill, appetizing Shish Tawook, and mouth-watering Diced Lamb and Lamb Kofta. Lamb ouzi, grilled fish, vegetable Salona with vermicelli rice, chicken shish tawouk, mahshi, katayef walnuts, hoummos, mouttabal, and more are just a few of the delicacies on the menu. At the end of the dinner, each menu includes a live saj station, Arabic baklawa, dates, and carved seasonal fruits.

Iftar at Hotel Cartagena:

Hotel Cartagena prepares an iftar feast with a Latin American flair and classic Arabic flavors for this unique month of the year. Enjoy a 4-course meal with special delicacies curated, specifically for the event, all inspired by South America.


The iftar menu will include a variety of Latin-American-Arabic fusion appetizers, main courses, sides, and desserts, and two Ramadan fresh-squeezed house juices and dates. Calabaza, black bean and avocado hummus with za’atar, lentils and chicken chorizo soup with lime crème Fraiche, golden mushroom and cheese empanadas, luscious lamb chops chargrilled with a glazed rocoto puree, and plantain fried rice are among the highlights. Taste the Mexican tres leches and crisp-edged buuelos laced with chili and chocolate. Finish iftar on a characteristically sweet note. Try pineapple icebox cake, zingy key lime pie, and profiteroles loaded with dulce de leche.

Iftar at The Courtyard:

The original Arabesque ambiance of this delightful open-air oasis is well-known. With an exotic set menu that includes Ramadan beverages, appetizers, salads, juices, mains, desserts, and fruit and dates, dine on traditional delicacies influenced by Akkadian, Babylonian, and Assyrian traditions. It evolves into an iftar hotspot with live cooking stations throughout Ramadan. You may taste a broad range of Arabic cuisines here, including ouzi, BBQ grill, mashawi, classic cold, and hot pastries and sweets.


Price: Dhs 200 per person. Daily, sunset - 9 pm. 

Iftar at The Restaurant at Address Fountain Views:

Gather with family and friends for a memorable iftar feast, complete with delectable dishes and breathtaking vistas. The pleasant atmosphere is created by comfortable seating, metal pit fires, and olive trees. Enjoy exquisite dishes and appetizers like mezze, sushi maki rolls, specialties from the live cooking stations, desserts, and Ramadan juices.


Price: Dhs 250 per person. Daily, sunset - 8.30 pm.


Iftar at Weslodge Saloon: 

Weslodge is trying something different by hosting an iftar feast with a North American theme. The tailored iftar meal, available daily from sunset until 8.30 pm, will feature a mix of classic and unusual dishes across four courses. On arrival, visitors will be served typical dates, bread, hummus, and lentil soup, followed by a food trip across the Atlantic.


Golden calamari, grilled chicken wings, an old menu favorite of Mamma’s Southern Fried Chicken. The USDA Ribeye from Weslodge’s legendary hardwood and charcoal grill are among the highlights. A creamy truffle barley risotto and Weslodge Saloons’ famed direct from the grill roasted cauliflower with Aio Blanco sauce are among the vegetables. The award-winning culinary team recreates the iconic pistachio baklava for the last performance. Thus, transporting diners back to the Middle East. The iftar meal at Weslodge comprises a soup, three appetizers, three main courses, two side dishes, and dessert, plus two mocktails per person.


Price: Every evening during Ramadan, Weslodge Saloon will be hosting an iftar menu priced at Dhs 450 per couple and Dhs 225 per person.
